On 19th March 2018, the Jordan Securities Commission published its Instructions which Regulate Financial Service Companies Trading on Foreign Stock Exchanges. These instructions came into effect on 22nd October 2017 however this the first time that they have been published in English.
These outline the minimum capital requirements which apply to licensed applicants wishing to deal on Foreign Stock Exchanges. The requirements will depend on the status of the applicant, the requirements are as follows:
- Financial Broker for the Account of Others: 350,000 Jordanian Dinars
- Introducing Broker: 150,000 Jordanian Dinars
- Investment Management: 250,000 Jordanian Dinars
- Investment Trusteeship: 15,000 Jordanian Dinars
- Financial Advisory: 10,000 Jordanian Dinars
