ITALY: The Bank of Italy publishes a Communication and information on the process for the notification of Italy short selling positions in sovereign debt under new EU Short Selling Regulation

The Bank of Italy has published a Communication on the procedures related to the entry into force of the Regulation on Short Selling. This document is available in Italian here. The Bank of Italy has also dedicated a section of its website for the notification of Italy net short selling positions in sovereign debt under new EU Short Selling Regulation. This area will be activated on 1 November 2012. A user guide and accreditation request will also be included at that time.
