ITALY: CONSOB publish joint consultation with Bank of Italy on transposition of the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD)

The Commissione Nazionale per le Societa e La Borsa (CONSOB) has published a joint consultation with the Bank of Italy regarding rules on collective management of savings and transposition of Directive 2011/61/EC (AIFMD).

In addition the following regulatory schemes are subject to public consultation;

• “Joint Regulation of the Bank of Italy – Consob” for the organisation and monitoring of intermediaries providing investment and services and collective management;
• “Intermediaries Regulation” and “Issuers Regulation” of Consob;
• “Regulations on collective management of savings” of the Bank of Italy and discipline of the depositary (authorization, duties, obligations and responsibilities)
