ITALY: CONSOB prohibits short selling in shares of Safilo Group SPA

The Italian regulator CONSIB has announced a temporary prohibition of short selling in Safilo shares (ISIN code: IT0004604762) on the MTA, a regulated market organised and managed by Borsa Italiana S.p.A., under Article 23 of the EU Short Selling Regulation, for the entire trading day of September 4, 2014.

The prohibition does not apply to the activity of market making, as defined by Article 2(1)(k) of the EU Short Selling Regulation.
