The Italian financial Regulator responsible for overseeing short selling reporting has issued the below important notice.

“Between 9 and 11 AM of Tuesday 13 December 2016, Consob will migrate to a new reporting system on net short positions, which will provide users with additional features. During this time, reporting will not be possible.

Positions reported through the old system will be migrated by Consob to the new system. Users will be able to access the new system and report net short positions with the old username and password.”

What should you do?

The new system will be available at a different webpage, which will be published at the link at the top of the page following the successful migration of the system.

CONSOB have provided a user manual of the new system at the following link.

Please be aware, it will not be possible to make changes to static data (i.e. name of Position Holder, name of contact person, etc) for a few days after the migration, and users will be required to make updates prior to the migration.
