On 19th December 2017 Borsa Italiana announced that it would amend the its Market Rules to ensure that they are compliant with MIFID II.
These changes will apply to the following areas covered in the Market Rules:
• the participation of market participants and the rules of conduct
• the microstructure of the market
• the regulation of transparency and
• the discipline regarding market making and market making strategy activities
These rules are only available in Italian at present. The Amended rules will enter into force on 27th December 2017.
