On 27th  March 2018  Euronext announced that it had the completed  the acquisition of 100% of the shares and voting rights of  the Irish Stock Exchange plc, after receiving regulatory approvals.

This development is a major milestone in the expansion of Euronext’s federal model. This development means that the Irish Stock Exchange plc will be subject to Euronext’s harmonised business rules which govern Euronext Brussels, Euronext Paris, Euronext Amsterdam and Euronext Lisbon.

The Exchange will operate under the business name Euronext Dublin.The Regulation of the Exchange will be governed by a combination of Irish and EU Regulatory rules which are supplemented by the business rules of Euronext Markets.
