On 6 October 2017, the Central Bank published the Twenty-Sixth Edition of the Central Bank AIFMD Q&A. New Question ID 1124 has been added relating to the maintenance of a designated email address for regulatory correspondence in respect of Irish authorised AIFs.
ID 1124
Question: I am an Irish authorised AIF managed by a non-Irish fund management company. Must I maintain a designated email address?
Answer: Yes, in order to facilitate effective and efficient communication between the Central Bank and Irish authorised funds, a designated email address should be provided for each Irish authorised AIF. This email address should be monitored for regulatory correspondence.
Individual email addresses can be set up for each Irish authorised AIF or a single email address for all Irish authorised AIFs under management by the non-Irish fund management company. These designated email addresses should be communicated to CP86email@centralbank.ie.
