On 12 September 2016, the Central Bank published the First Edition of the Market Abuse Regulatory Framework Q&A.

The Market Abuse Regulatory Framework Q&A sets out answers to queries that may arise in relation to the Market Abuse Regime which became applicable in Ireland on 3 July 2016. It is published in order to assist in limiting uncertainty.  It is not relevant to assessing compliance with regulatory requirements.

The questions included are:

  • ID 1001 (PDMRs and PCAs use the relevant issuer’s ONR account in order to notify the Central Bank of transactions under Article 19 of MAR);
  • ID 1002 (multiple issuers and ONR accounts);
  • ID 1003 (delegation of application of access to the ONR);
  • ID 1004 (delegation lf notification requirements); and
  • ID 1005 (notifications and threshold specifications)
