In line with the finalisation of the Capital Requirements Directive IV (CRD IV) and Capital Requirements Regulation (CRR), the Irish Central Bank of Ireland has published an implementation notice that sets out supervisory authority discretions and options that may apply to credit institutions and investment firms. It also outlines discretions and options assigned to the Central Bank in accordance with the Department of Finance’s Consultation Paper, ‘Member State Discretions in the Capital Requirements Regulation and Directive’. These allocations will be subject to confirmation in the statutory instrument (SI) transposing CRD IV.
