The Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) has made the following market closure recommendations of the US, UK and Japan:
United States
SIFMA has confirmed its previous recommendations for an early close at 2:00 p.m., EST, on Wednesday, December 24 and a full market close on Thursday, December 25 and for the trading of US dollar-denominated fixed-income securities in the US in observance of the Christmas Holiday.
United Kingdom
SIFMA has confirmed its previous recommendations for full market closes on Thursday, December 25 and Friday, December 26 for the trading of US dollar-denominated fixed-income securities in the UK in observance of the Christmas Day and Boxing Day Holidays, respectively.
Japan
SIFMA has confirmed its previous recommendations for full market closes on Tuesday, December 23 and Thursday, December 25 and an early close at 3:00 p.m., EST, on Friday, December 26 for the trading of US dollar-denominated fixed-income securities in Japan in observance of the Emperor`s Birthday, Christmas Day and UK Boxing Day Holidays, respectively.
