Nasdaq Nordic has published a new Rulebook governing Warrants and Certificates.
The Rulebook will apply to Nasdaq First North Denmark, for Nasdaq First North Finland and Nasdaq First North Sweden.
The Rulebook sets out procedures for issuers of warrants and certificates on its multilateral trading facility (MTF), Nasdaq First North.
The new trading facility for Nasdaq Nordic which will facilitate Warrants and Certificates will be known as Nasdaq NSDX.
The Rulebook is similar to that of the Nasdaq Nordic Warrant Rulebook for Nasdaq Copenhagen and Nasdaq Stockholm and the current Chapter 6 of the Rules of the Exchange of Nasdaq Helsinki applicable for the Exchange’s regulated markets.
However there are three new rulings in the rulebook compared to current rules:
- A MTF traded instrument can be an underlying (rule 3.1.1)
- Limitation of the size the issue of instruments having a commodity underlying (3.1.5); and
- Added rule of “The issuer is also obliged to disclose its periodical financial reports in accordance with the applicable legislation” (last sentence of 4.2).
The new Rulebook will enter into force on 20th of November 2017 and shall govern the warrant and certificate segment in the INET trading system of the Nasdaq First North.
