Taiwan and Japan have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) in Tokyo to cooperate on financial supervision, in an effort to stabilise the financial system, safeguard investors` rights and improve market efficiency.
The MoU is expected to help create a healthier financial environment and expand both markets for the benefit of both parties.
