Further to the update of 20th October in connection with India foreign investment in aviation, it is being reported that the civil aviation ministry has agreed to the Department of Industrial Policy and PromotionÆs proposal of allowing foreign carriers to buy upto a 26% stake in private airlines. The Home Ministry, the Planning Commission, and the Finance Ministry have already offered their support for the proposal.
