It has been reported that the Indian Government is to go back on its promise to allow India foreign direct investment (FDI) in the country’s airlines; thought to be a result of the ever increasing costs of fuel, ticket pricing and the current unreliability of the airline industry.

The report comes at a time in which Indian airlines are making large financial losses and India FDI could be the get out clause that many need to remain financial stability.
