Connectivity Test and Market Rehearsals

The Stock Exchange Of Hong Kong (HKEX) has announced that a connectivity test (CT) and two market rehearsals (MR) will be arranged in October and November 2016 for Exchange Participants to verify their readiness to participate in Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect. The schedule of the CT and MRs is as follows:

In order to participate in the Shenzhen Hong Kong Stock Connect, Existing China Connect Exchange Participants (CCEPs) must take part in both MR1 and MR2 and submit the relevant undertaking with confirmation of readiness in due course.

Non CCEPs EPs who wish to participate in Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect are required to submit applications for approval as CCEPs, comply with certain system and operational requirements and take part in both MR1 and MR2.

Existing CCEPs who do not wish to participate in Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect must participate in Day1 of MR1 for simulated trading activities on T day to ensure their system integrity as the China Stock Connect system has been enhanced to include Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect.

EPs are requested to complete and return the enrolment form on or before 23 September 2016.

End-to-end Test Results Submission

Exchange Participants (EPs) are reminded to submit their end-to-end test results by 30 September 2016. CCEPs must successfully complete the end-to-end test before they can participate in any MR.

China Connect Open Gateway (“CCOG”) and Bandwidth

Existing CCEPs can continue to use their existing CCOG(s) to trade in both Shenzhen-Hong Kong Stock Connect and Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect. EPs who wish to purchase any CCOG device through HKEX should submit to SEHK an application for CCOG by 15 September 2016. EPs who wish to purchase any CCOG device directly from vendors are required to submit an application to SEHK by 30 September 2016.
