The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong (HKEx) has announced that with effect from 12th May 2017, 44 new securities will be added to, and 40 securities will be removed from the list of designated securities eligible for short selling.

The total number of stocks eligible for short selling after the effective date will be 942.
