It is being reported that the Financial Services and the Treasury Bureau of Hong Kong is to introduce new regulations on the reporting of securities Hong Kong short-selling as soon as possible.The Bureau is also consulting with the Securities and Futures Commission and the Hong Kong Monetary Authority to guarantee the that the current rules are being properly implemented. K.C. Chan, Hong Kongs secretary for financial services and treasury was keen to stress that there was no plans to ban Hong Kong short selling.
