The Greek Hellenic Capital Markets Commission (HCMC) has announced that, in accordance with Article 83, paragraph 5 of Law 3606/2007, there has been a transfer of responsibility regarding the management of the dematerialised security system by the company ‘Greek Exchanges SA Holding, Clearing, Settlement and Registry’ to the company ‘Greek Central Securities Depository SA’. The latter company was formerly known as the ‘Thessaloniki Stock Exchange Centre’.
As a result of the transfer, the settlement licence of Greek Exchanges SA Holding, Clearing, Settlement and Registry has been revoked and the transfer of responsibility will have legal effect as of 9th December 2013.
