The Autorité Des Marchês Financiers (AMF) have published guidelines covering the reporting obligations of Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs) under the Alternative Investment Fund Managers Directive (AIFMD).
The AMF is following the guidance issued by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on obligations in relation to reports pursuant to Article 3, paragraph 3 of Article 24 and paragraphs 1,2 and 4 of the AIFMD (ESMA / 2014 / 869FR). These guidelines are intended to ensure within the European Union common, uniform and consistent application of the obligations of reporting to national authorities under the AIFM Directive and Regulation (EU) No 231/2013 implementing the Directive.
The AMF has provided details of the arrangements for implementation by AIFMs of the reporting obligation to national competent authorities (nature of disclosures, reporting periods, procedures to follow when managers move from one reporting obligation to another).
