FINLAND: FSA Advise on PRIIPS KID

Finanssivalvonta (FSA) have advised on the application of PRIIPS KID.

The application of PRIIPs will begin on 1 January 2018. PRIIPs regulation applies to service providers who manufacture and offer PRIIPs products to retail investors. These include banks, insurance companies, management companies and alternative fund managers as well as structured bond issuers. Service providers must prepare a key information document (KID) for each product.

The key investor information document to be submitted to the FSA must be a textual pdf file (not scanned as an image).

The key document should be named in such a way that the name of the pdf document indicates the developer of the PRIIP product concerned, the name of the PRIIP product and its risk indicator.
