EUROPEAN UNION: The European Supervisory Authorities Signs MOU with the European Free Trade Association Surveillance Authority

On 27^th April 2018, the European Supervisory Authorities (ESA) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the European Free Trade Association Surveillance Authority (EFTA).

This multilateral MOU facilitates co-operation between the ESAs and the EFTA Surveillance Authority in the following areas:

• product intervention
• breaches of European Economic Area law
• action in emergency situations
• mediation and the adoption of specific opinions
