On 1st November 2017, Euronext signed an Agreement with the London Clearing House and Clearnet SA (LCH) on the provision of Clearing Services.
The Agreement will mean that LCH will continue to provide Clearing Services on financial and commodity derivatives for Euronext Exchanges over the next 10 years.
This development will be welcomed by investors and market participants as it provides members with continuity of current clearing services. This is particularly beneficial as it prevents cost and disruption associated with a migration of clearing services, particularly at a time where client bandwidth is stretched due to MiFID II implementation and Brexit planning.
