The European Securities and Markets Authority (EMSA) has added the Athens Exchange Clearing House to its list of authorised Central Counterparties (CCPs) under the European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR).
EU-based CCPs are required to be authorised by the European Union (EU) and non-EU CCPs are required to be recognised by the EU.
