The European Securities and Markets Authority has published an updated Q and A on the EU Regulation on EU Short Selling. The updates concern the transparency requirements on net short positions, in particular the rounding of net short positions expressed in percentages. Clarification on the treatment of instruments which give claims to shares to yet issued (subscription rights, convertible bonds) was also provided, and guidance on correlation for soveriegn debt was updated.
