The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has released a Work Programme for 2014 which includes details of the Authority’s plans in the area of the MiFID. According to the Programme, one of the main projects ESMA will undertake in 2014 is the implementation of the review of MiFID, which is currently being negotiated in the European Council and Parliament. ESMA expects to be involved in preparing a large number of important and complex implementing measures.
