On 16 January 2013, the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (The Danish FSA) created a set of guidelines to help in connection with notification of foreign UCITS for marketing in Denmark. The purpose of the guide-lines is to facilitate completion of the Notification Letter in order to ensure that the application complies with rules and regulations in Denmark.

The guidelines set out details on the notification letter and include information on:

  • List of compartments (sub-funds), share classes and ISIN codes;
  • Key Investor Information Document;
  • Annual report;
  • Other information, which must be provided;
  • Translation requirements;
  • Scope of marketing activities;
  • Marketing to retail investors; and
  • Marketing to professional investors only.

The document also contains information on notifications that are not subject to the notification procedure of Commission Regulation No 584/2010 of 1 July 2010.
