On 2nd March 2018, the Commission for the Financial Market (CMF) invited market participants to join the newly established Financial Self-Regulation Committee.

Membership is open to the following groups:

  • intermediaries of public offering securities
  • stock exchanges
  • general fund administrators and the individual portfolio administrators supervised by the Commission
  • any other entity supervised by the CMF

The entities obliged to self-regulate will have until March 16, 2018 to express their decision to participate in the Financial Self-Regulation Committee.

Those entities obliged to self-regulate and who do not wish to participate in the Committee must communicate this to the CMF. They must also submit their Code of Conduct as approved by the board of directors.
