Chilean stock exchange Bolsa de Comercio de Santiago has signed its commitment letter, officially becoming a Partner Exchange of the Sustainable Stock Exchanges (SSE) initiative.

Santiago expressed interest in the initiative in November at the IV International Forum on Sustainability in Santiago, noting it had asked for board approval to take part in the initiative. It also announced at the Forum the forthcoming development of a new, investable, sustainability index.

With Santiago’s commitment, all four exchanges in the Integrated Latin American Market (MILA) –Chile, Peru, Colombia, and Mexico – are now Partner Exchanges of the SSE.
