The Canadian Clearing and Depository Services Inc. (CDS) has successfully enacted a T+2 Settlement Cycle.
7th September 2017 was the last day in which trades could be settled on the T+3 settlement cycle. Since September the 8th Trades have been settled on the new T+2 basis.
This development should be beneficial to traders as it allows traders to settle trades more quickly, thus mitigating counterparty, market and liquidity risks.
