BULGARIA: FSC Publishes Draft Regulations on MiFID and Capital Adequacy, Liquidity of Investment Firms and Supervisory Compliance

The Bulgaria Financial Services Commission (FSC) has published for public consultation two draft regulations. The first concerns the amendment of the Law on the Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID). The second draft regulation is on capital adequacy, liquidity of investment firms and supervisory compliance.

The publication of the draft regulations is a result of the transposition into national law of Directive 2013/36/EC on access to the activity of credit institutions and the prudential supervision of credit institutions and investment firms, amending Directive 2002/87/EC and repealing Directives 2006/48/EC and 2006/49/EC (CRD IV), and to ensure the implementation of Regulation (EC) 575/2013 on prudential requirements for credit institutions and investment firms.
