BRAZIL: B3 Moves to T+2 Settlement Cycle

On 2^nd March 2018,  Brasil Bolsa Balcão S.A. (B3)  shortened its settlement cycle from T+3 to T+2.  This move will bring the exchange into line with many others across the globe who have recently adopted this shortened settlement period.

The shortening of the settlement cycle will bring the Brazilian market significant benefits, including capital optimisation, reduced collateral requirements and increased liquidity.
