The Australia Foreign Investment Review Board has updated the matrix on monetary thresholds.
The matrix has been updated with the following thresholds:
- Non-government investors: an interest in rural land where the cumulative value of rural land that the foreign person (and any associates) already holds exceeds, or immediately following the proposed acquisition is likely to exceed, $15 million
- Chilean, New Zealand and United States non-government investors: an interest in an Australian primary production business – $1,094 million
- Japanese and Korean non-government investors: an interest in rural land where the cumulative value of rural land that the foreign person (and any associates) already holds exceeds, or immediately following the proposed acquisition is likely to exceed, $15 million
- Singaporean and Thai non-government investors: an interest in an Australian primary production business – $50 million
