The Hellenic Capital Market Commission has announced that it is extending its temporary prohibition on short selling, in place since 28th June, to 13th July.

The prohibition extends to transactions in any financial instrument which would create a short position of the shares admitted to trading on the Athens Exchange and the Multilateral Trading Facility of “EN.A” (Alternative Market of the Athens Exchange) of which the relative Competent Authority is HCMC.
