The AMF has published a news article (only available in French) reminding market participants of the entry into force on 1st October 2012 of the new rules requiring the disclosure of France holdings in cash-settled derivatives and other instruments of similar economic effect.
From 1st October, market participants will be required to aggregate these holdings with those in holdings in shares and other financial instruments for the purposes of calculating whether a threshold notification is required. There will be no grandfathering provision for positions which were entered into prior to the entry into effect of the new rules.
The AMF will publish an updated form for disclosure prior to the entry into effect of the new rules.
