FRANCE: AMF follows ESMA Guidance

L’Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) has announced that it has followed the guidance published by the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) on key concepts of the AIFMD.

To implement the ESMA guidance, the AMF has published Position DOC-2013-16 consisting of guidelines on the treatment of investment entities compartments, mutual funds, raising capital, number of investors and information on the definition of “investment policy”. The Position is applicable as of October 2013.
