The European Commission has published a consultation on Regulation (EU) No 648/2012 on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR). The review is mandated under EMIR (Article 85(1)) will enable the European Commission to take stock of market participants’ experience in implementing the regulation.
The purpose of the consultation is to obtain feedback from stakeholders on their experiences in the implementation of EMIR to date. Feedback received as part of the consultation will provide important guidance to the Commission services in preparing their final report.
As part of the review, a public hearing will take place on 29 May 2015.
