EUROPEAN UNION: Responses to the Consultation on the Regulatory Framework for Financial Services are published

The European Commission has published the responses received to the Consultation on EU Regulatory Framework for Financial Services. The Consultation closed on 31 January 2016 and there were 288 response received.

It is expected that the outcome of the consultation will provide a clearer understanding of the interaction of the individual rules and cumulative impact of the legislation as a whole including potential overlaps, inconsistencies and gaps. It is also expected help inform individual reviews and provide a basis for concrete and coherent action where required.
