The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has issued a Consultation Paper on guidelines on enforcement of financial information to replace the standards on enforcement issued by the Committee of European Securities Regulators (CESR).
The guidelines apply to the activities carried out by European enforcers to ensure that financial information provided by issuers in accordance with the Transparency Directive complies with the applicable financial reporting framework.
