The European Commission had requested CESR to provide technical advice on the content of the possible implementing measures of the UCITS IV directive. CESR subsequently launched a call for evidence on this matter, inviting interested parties to give their views on what it should consider in their response to the commission.

CESR has today published the 27 responses received from various organisations including Industry representative bodies and asset management companies to its Call for Evidence.

With the July 2010 deadline for UCITS IV to be implemented into national law, CESR is expected to provide further details in due course in relation to the public consultation it will carry out in light of responses to the call for evidence and its own deliberations.
