CESR has today launched a 48-page consultation on its technical advice to the European Commission on level 2 measures relating to mergers of UCITS, master-feeder UCITS structures and cross-border notification of UCITS.
This consultation is part of a mandate issued to CESR to provide technical advice on possible implementing measures concerning the future UCITS Directive.
CESR has previously published its draft advice to the European Commission on the regulatory framework that should underpin the Management Company Passport (MCP) for Undertakings for Collective Investment in Transferable Securities (UCITS), as well as its draft advice to the European Commission on the format and content of Key Information Document (KID) disclosures for UCITS.
CESR invites responses to this consultation by 17 November 2009.
An open hearing will be held as part of this consultation, full details of which will be made available on CESR `s website in due course.
