The final draft of the delegated regulation regulating EU major shareholdings has been published in the EU Official Journal.

The regulation details:

  • Aggregation of holdings for positions in shares and derivatives (Articles 9, 10 and 13)
  • Group aggregation requirements
  • Calculating voting rights as regards financial instruments referenced to a basket of shares or an index, and financial instruments providing exclusively for a cash settlement
  • Client-serving transactions

The regulation shall apply from 26th November 2015.
