The European Commission has today published its proposals outlining the important revisions to the EU Single Market framework for investment funds – the UCITS Directive.

The new provisions seek to increase the efficiency of the current legislative framework in a number of key areas, including:

* Asset pooling ;

* UCITS notification procedure for cross-border distribution ;

* Key Investor Information disclosures;

* Cross-border fund mergers;

* Enhanced Supervisory Co-operation.
