The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published technical advice on third country equivalence under Regulation (EU) No. 648/2012 of the European Parliament and of the Council on OTC derivatives, central counterparties and trade repositories (EMIR).

Advice has been published in respect of Hong Kong, Switzerland, Singapore, Australia, Japan and the United States.
