The Shanghai Stock Exchange (SSE) has issued improvements to the assessment system of listed companies’ information disclosure and formulated the trial ‘SSE Measures for Assessment of Listed Companies’ Information Disclosure’. This move has been designed to meet the new situation in regulating listed companies’ information disclosure after implementation of the direct channel for notifications. Transparency in regulation is hoped to be enhanced and the quality of listed companies’ information disclosure should be improved.

After the implementation of the measures, the SSE will issue its opinion in respect of cases involving mergers, acquisitions, and reorganisations. The Exchange has called for public comment on the draft measures in written form or by email before 27 September 2013.
