CANADA: OSC Publishes Amended Institutional Trade Matching and Settlements Regulation

On 30^th January 2018, the Ontario Securities Commission (OSC) published the amended Institutional Trade Matching and Settlements Regulation.

The Amendments focus on the procedures governing Institutional Matching and Settlement. The Amendments are structured into 6 sections:

• Introduction, purpose and definitions
• Trade Matching Requirements
• Information Reporting Requirements
• Requirements for Matching Service Utilities
• Trade Settlement
• Requirements of Self-Regulatory Organizations and Others

The Amendments were drafted on the 5^th September 2018 however they are not yet effective.
