CANADA: IIROC List of Securities Subject to Single-Stock Circuit Breakers

On a daily basis IIROC posts a list of securities that are subject to Single-Stock Circuit Breakers (SSCBs) on their website.

As of June 27, 2016, Dealer Members and marketplaces may also download the list of SSCB eligible securities via a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connection to an IIROC server. IIROC will release the daily SSCB-eligible securities list in the new format no later than 1:30 a.m. ET. Dealer Members that report debt transactions to IIROC will automatically have access to the latest list of SSCB-eligible securities in a folder entitled SSCBs List in the Reference Data directory on the server.

Other dealers and marketplaces will be required to setup an SFTP account with IIROC to access the list.

IIROC revised the SSCB trigger criteria for qualifying leveraged Exempt Exchange-traded Funds, based on the extent of leverage of these securities. To reflect this change, the list of SSCB-eligible securities will include an additional column indicating the SSCB trigger level for each security.
