The Canadian Securities Administrators (CSA) has published Consultation Paper 92-401 Derivatives Trading Facilities.
The Consultation Paper is open for comment until 30th March 2015 and it proposes the following framework:
- Regulation of facilities that bring together multiple buyers and sellers of Over-the-Counter (OTC) derivatives;
- Any OTC derivatives which meet certain criteria may be required to trade exclusively on regulated facilities.
