On 9th February 2018, Brasil Bolsa Balcão S.A. (B3) published the amended version of its Market Access rules.

These rules regulate the procedures for applicants wishing to access the market to become Authorised participants or Registered participants.

Authorised Participants are categorised into the following:

  • full trading participant;
  • trading participant;
  • clearing member;
  • settlement participant;
  • custody agent;
  • registration participant;
  • market infrastructure.

 Registered participants are  categorised into the following:

  • issuer;
  • registrar;
  • settlement agent;
  • agribusiness depositary;
  • gold depositary;
  • gold refiner;
  • SELIC participant;
  • investment club administrator;
  • guarantee issuing bank;
  • agricultural commodity grading supervisor;
  • investor; (xii) real estate lender
  • others, as established in the B3 access manual.
