The Moniteur Belge has published the law of 19 April 2014 on Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) and Alternative Investment Fund Managers (AIFMs).

The scope of the current funds law dated 3 August 2012 has been narrowed to cover UCITS and dedicated securitisation vehicles (SICs/VBSs), with the new law of 19 April 2014 covering AIFs and AIFMs. These AIFs include sicafis/vastgoedbevaks, pricafs/privaks, sicavs/bevaks investing in financial instruments and in cash, as well as other Belgian funds that are currently unregulated.
